Born and raised in Barrie, Amanda Walker has deep roots in the community she proudly serves. After studying Accounting at Georgian College, she began her career as an Accounting Manager for a prominent land development, home building, and construction company in Orillia. It was there that she developed a strong understanding of finance, business operations, and the home building industry—knowledge that continues to benefit her clients today.

In 2004, Amanda took a leap of faith and became co-owner of a heavy equipment construction business alongside her brother. Managing everything from accounting and financial planning to the day-to-day operations of a growing business taught her how to navigate complex challenges, find practical solutions, and stay calm under pressure—qualities that have become the foundation of her approach to client care.

With years of experience in accounting, construction, and home building, a career in mortgages felt like a natural next step. Amanda earned her Mortgage Licence in 2008 and has been helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals ever since. She understands that every client's financial situation is unique and takes pride in finding mortgage solutions that are tailored to their needs, both today and for the future.

As Amanda and her husband Dave's passion for real estate and mortgages continued to grow, so did their vision. In 2009, they founded The Walker Team with a simple goal: to create a boutique Real Estate and Mortgage team that offers knowledgeable guidance, honest advice, and a truly seamless experience from start to finish. By bringing real estate and mortgage services together under one roof, they are able to simplify the process while ensuring their clients always have someone in their corner.

Today, The Walker Team is truly a family business. Their daughter Alysha is a licensed REALTOR®, while their youngest daughter, Kayla, supports the team whenever she is home from university, where she is pursuing a career in nursing. Together, they share a commitment to serving their community with integrity, professionalism, and genuine care.

Amanda recognizes the trust her clients place in her during one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives and considers that trust a privilege, never a responsibility she takes lightly. Known for her thoughtful guidance, attention to detail, and approachable nature, she is committed to helping clients feel informed, confident, and supported throughout every step of the journey. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys home renovation projects, catching live theatre, setting sail on a cruise whenever she can, and spending quality time with family and friends. She believes a home is so much more than four walls—it's where life's biggest milestones happen. Being able to help clients achieve that dream is one of the most rewarding parts of what she does.
